ESU Urology Boot Camp
Description
"Urology Simulation Boot Camp" is part of the "Standardisation In Surgical Education programme (SISE)" program of the European Urological Society (EAU) in collaboration with the National Societies, in the framework of a standardized training program of the European School of Urology (ESU). Similar courses have been held in previous years in Portugal (2018, 2019, 2021) and Belgium (2019), all based on the innovative approach applied for many years in Leeds (UK) under the mentorship of Dr. Shekhar Biyani.
HUA is actively participating in the SISE program and inaugurates the "1st Urology Bootcamp" in Greece, on Thursday, October 6, 2022, during the first day of its 25th Panhellenic Urology Conference.
Educational Objectives
The structured, intensive program of boot camp, with a total of 8 hours of exclusive hands-on- training, focuses on basic endoscopic techniques and simple urological procedures. It offers trainees the opportunity to develop urological skills and understand basic theoretical and practical topics, which are of paramount importance in the daily practice of a modern Urologist. The program aims to provide surgeons with the competency and confidence to perform surgical procedures, reducing any potential, surgical errors to the maximum.
Registrations
Participation is free of charge. As there is a limited number of 16 seats, the selection will be made on a first come- first served policy (based on the date of dispatch of the participation form).
More information about the training program and the registration process will be available shortly, via individual announcements to interested parties and relevant information on the Conference's website www.huacongress.gr
